Terms of Use
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of Smart Printer ("the app"), a printing and scanning app for Android and iOS provided by Tripleace ("we", "us"; app ID: com.tripleace.smartprinter). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using and uninstall it.
If you download Smart Printer from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if these Terms conflict with it, these Terms apply to the extent permitted. You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms. Minors should use the app with a parent or guardian’s permission. Smart Printer is not directed to children.
2. Features and limits
Smart Printer lets you print PDF, Word, text and image files, print photos in single or multi-photo layouts, scan documents to PDF, save PDFs, and keep recent files in the app.
Printing works through your device’s print system (AirPrint on iOS, the Android print framework and the print services installed on Android). Smart Printer does not include printer drivers. Whether a printer can be used depends on the printer, its settings and firmware, your network, and the print services on your device; some printers (for example printers that only accept print jobs from computers) cannot be used from a phone. Print results such as colours, margins, paper sizes and two-sided printing depend on your printer. Word files are converted on the device and their layout may differ from the original.
Edge detection, cropping and filters for scans are automated and can be imperfect; review pages before saving or printing. Smart Printer is not responsible for ink, toner, paper or other printing costs, or for documents printed on printers you do not control.
3. Your content
Your files, photos and scans are stored on your device. We do not operate a cloud backup or sync service and cannot recover lost files. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or losing or resetting your device can permanently delete them unless your device backup includes them.
You retain your rights in your content. Print, scan and copy only content you are entitled to use, and do not use the app to reproduce documents in breach of law or third-party rights.
4. Free use, ads and Smart Printer Premium
Smart Printer can be used for free with a limited number of prints. The free version may show ads. Some features, such as unlimited printing, multi-photo layouts with 4 or 9 photos per page, layout spacing options and enhanced scan filters, require Smart Printer Premium, which also removes ads. Free limits, ads and Premium features may change.
Smart Printer Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription offered as a weekly plan (which may include a free trial for eligible users) or a yearly plan. The purchase screen and the store checkout show the current benefits, price, billing period and any trial terms before you confirm.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (on Google Play, before the renewal date). Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial: if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts automatically. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
- Cancel and manage: in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions, or iPhone Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling, Premium remains active until the end of the paid period.
- Restore: use “Restore Purchases” in the app with the same store account to restore Premium on a new device.
- Refunds: handled by Google or Apple under their refund policies, subject to consumer rights that apply in your country.
- Price changes: prices vary by country, may include applicable taxes, and may change with notice as required by the store and applicable law.
5. License and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Smart Printer for lawful personal use on devices you own or control. The app, its design, branding and original content belong to Tripleace or its licensors.
Do not use the app unlawfully, interfere with its operation or with printers and networks you are not authorised to use, circumvent free limits or subscription checks, or distribute unauthorised copies. Any reverse-engineering restriction applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Privacy and third-party services
Information handling and permission choices are described in the Privacy Policy. Smart Printer uses third-party services including Apple AirPrint and VisionKit, the Android print framework and print services, Google ML Kit (through Google Play services), Google Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Play and the Apple App Store. These providers, printer makers and any external websites have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their services or content, including advertisements.
7. Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, supported printers, free limits and these Terms. Updates will be reflected in the date on this page, with additional notice where required; continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or support for every device or printer.
You may stop using and uninstall Smart Printer at any time. We may restrict use for misuse or legal reasons, subject to applicable law and your rights to any paid period.
8. Responsibility and applicable rights
To the extent permitted by law, Smart Printer is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a guarantee of error-free operation, compatibility with every printer, accurate scanning or conversion, or recovery of lost data.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for loss of data, or for printing costs, arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Smart Printer Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections in the EU, the UK and elsewhere. Disputes are subject to applicable law and to the mandatory jurisdiction rights available to consumers in their place of residence.
